A visa regime for Russian journalists in Turkey was introduced


On the basis of reciprocity, employees of all Russian media planning a journalistic trip to Turkey after the 15th of February 2016, including the duration of which does not exceed six months, it is necessary to issue "a visa for journalists". Late last year, journalists from Russia were obligated to submit to the Turkish Embassy certain documents, including a letter from the media guide in Turkish or English, which should indicate the purpose of the visit, the place and timing of the visit, as well as the names of those who will be interviewing. Prior to this, journalists are not required to undergo such a procedure.
