On the simplified procedure for accepting documents for the registration of citizenship in the Russian Federation
By the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation, new forms of applications for admission to the citizenship of the Russian Federation were approved in a simplified manner, without observing the condition of the term of residence on the territory of the Russian Federation.
The simplified procedure applies to the following categories of foreign citizens:
- Foreign citizens residing in the Russian Federation who received professional education after July 1, 2002 for major programs with state accreditation in educational or scientific organizations of the Russian Federation on its territory and carry out labor activity in the Russian Federation for at least 3 years prior to the day of applying for admission to Russian citizenship.
In addition, in the specified period, with respect to such foreign citizens and stateless persons, the employer must be assessed insurance premiums to the Pension Fund of the Russian Federation (Article 14 (2) of the Federal Law.
- Foreign citizens who have a son or daughter who have reached the age of 18 and are citizens of the Russian Federation and who are recognized as incapacitated or of limited capacity - if the other parent of the pointed citizens of the Russian Federation who is a citizen of the Russian Federation has died or is recognized as missing, incapacitated or limited in ability to act, is deprived of parental rights or limited in parental rights (in accordance with clause "d" of Part 2 of Article 14 of this Federal Law).
In order to implement these norms, Presidential Decree No. 410 of September 3, 2017 was adopted, which approved a new application form for admission to Russian citizenship, taking into account these simplified grounds for obtaining Russian citizenship.
