Registration of Foreign Citizens on the Territory of the Russian Federation

The bill on the possibility of restrictions in the sphere of migration has been approved

The State Duma has approved the bill "On measures of influence (counteraction) regarding the unfriendly actions of the United States of America and (or) other foreign states", which impose restrictions in the sphere of work with foreign companies, including the spheres of services, production and international trade.

Restrictive measures in the migration sphere include banning American and other foreign companies from performing various types of services (including consulting, legal and audit) in relation to the state and certain categories of Russian legal entities.

Earlier, a broad list was provided, from which later excluded the possibility of a ban on the entry of foreign citizens into the Russian Federation and the recruitment and hiring of foreign citizens to work in the Russian Federation.

The bill establishes that the measures of influence are introduced by the Government of the Russian Federation by the decision of the President of the Russian Federation as they are necessary. Thus, the President of Russia will make the decisions regarding the introduction of counter-sanctions.
