LEVINE Bridge Participated in 2011 HR Conference Hosted by the American Chamber of Commerce in Russia

On October 7, 2011 the American Chamber of Commerce in Russia held its Annual Human Resources Conference on the theme “Modernization of HR: New Technologies and Innovation”. Over 140 specialists attended the event. Among them were specialists of the law firm LEVINE Bridge who took an active role in the discussion on topical issues related to HR management and labor law.

Keynote speeches were made by RF Deputy Minister of Health and Social Development Alexander Safonov, who spoke on amendments to the RF Labor Code; and Sergey Belyakov, Director of the Department for Investment Policy and Development of Private-State Partnerships of the RF Ministry of Economic Development, who discussed the RF draft law on secondments.

Keys to the conference were the presentations relating to innovation as an essential component of how to successfully grow a business in the 21st century. Attending were 12 representatives from leading Russian and foreign companies, top management professionals who shared their experiences and spoke on such issues as the role of HR in mergers and acquisitions, how HR can contribute to creating an innovation-driven organization, working from remote locations, how to get more return on your people investment, new opportunities of corporate pension plans, talent management, marketing technologies in HR, increasing efficiency of HR, candidates in Russia and worldwide, etc.

According to specialists of LEVINE Bridge who were participating at this conference, in addressing topics such as convenient organizational structure as well as a pleasant business atmosphere, it not only allowed for an open discussion on the most important issues within the field of HR, but also in how to plan for the implementation of new practices in HR management. Undoubtedly, similar events will be significant for businesses moving forward in the new millennium.
