Registration of Foreign Citizens on the Territory of the Russian Federation

Prior to January 1, 2015 a transitional period of labor law in the Republic of Crimea

According with Federal Law N 299-FZ which identify the application of federal  laws of Russian Federation on the territory of the Republic of Crimea and the federal city of Sevastopol, previous labor relations, along with federal laws and other normative legal acts of the Russian Federation, they shall remain in force until January 1, 2014 as well as other normative legal acts containing norms of labor law, which operated on the territory of the Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol before the date of the adoption into the Russian Federation.

Employment agreements concluded with workers employed on the territory of the Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol must be brought into line with the requirements of federal laws and other normative legal acts of the Russian Federation containing the norms of labor law. Conditions specified in employment agreements that do not meet the requirements of federal laws and other normative legal acts of the Russian Federation containing the norms of labor law will no longer be applicable as of 1 January 2015.

It also provides features for the provision of specific guarantees and compensation for workers who are employed work on the territory of the Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol and the procedure for the application of the results of the certification of workplaces on working conditions and arrangements for carrying out a specific assessment of working conditions.
