Russia and Mongolia abolished visas requirements
21.11.2014
The Presidents of the Russian Federation and Mongolia signed an agreement on conditions of mutual travel of citizens of the Russian Federation and citizens of Mongolia.
The agreement stipulates that "citizens of one country may enter, exit transit t and stay on the territory of the other on the basis of valid identity documents and without visas, if the duration of their continuous stay does not exceed 30 days." The total period of stay without a visa should not exceed two months in a period of 180 days from the date of first entry into the territory of the country.
The visa-free regime between the two countries had existed since 1995, but was suspended by the Mongolian authorities. The resumption of a visa-free regime will give an additional impetus to the development of mutually beneficial business, cultural and tourism relationships.
