Foreign citizens will be exempted from exams in the Russian language, Russian history and basic foundations of legislation of the Russian Federation
The State Duma has introduced a bill allowing foreign citizens to forgo taking tests for the knowledge of the Russian language, history and the basic foundations of legislation of the Russian Federation.
It is expected that these proposed changes will affect Chinese citizens arriving in the organized groups upon the invitation of employers.
These changes are due to the lack of Russian labor force on the one hand, as well as problems with the selection of Chinese citizens and their learning the Russian language, Russian history and the basics of legislation.
This bill proposes to expand the circle of foreign citizens who will be exempt from taking the test for the knowledge of the Russian language, history and legislation of the Russian Federation, at the expense of foreign citizens arriving in Russia on the basis of dedicated employer quotas for hiring foreign employees.
