Approved program to assist with the resettlement of compatriots

The Government has approved a program to assist with the voluntary resettlement of compatriots living abroad for five Russian regions; they include the regions of Pskov, Tver, Voronezh, Saratov and Buryatia.
The Voronezh region will receive 16 thousand compatriots through the resettlement program, Pskov – 4,75 thousand, Tverskaya –6 thousand, Saratov – up to 12,5 thousand. The Republic of Buryatia will accept up to 500 people.
We would like to point out, that the state program for the resettlement of compatriots from abroad was initiated in 2006 by decree of the president of the Russian Federation.
