Regarding concluding employment contracts in electronic form


The deputies of the State Duma made a proposal related to the amendment of Article 67 of the Russian Labour Code, according to which an employment contract will be deemed to have been concluded in case of exchange between the parties, using electronic or technical means, documents or other information containing the agreed terms of the contract, and which meet the requirements of the Russian Labour Code.

It is also proposed to supplement the Russian Labour Code with new articles containing information on the forms of legally significant communications, the procedure for sending them and the determination of the time from which the communications entail legally significant consequences.

In addition, the possibility of assigning to the employee the right to refuse the exchange of legally significant communications by means of electronic or technical means is being discussed.

The law is scheduled to come into force on 1 October 2019.
