Regarding the unified electronic visa for entry into Russia

According to the project of the Federal law submitted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for public discussion, a unified single-entry visa for entry to the Russian Federation in electronic format is planned to be introduced as of January 1, 2021.

This visa will be used for short-term stay in Russia with tourist, business, humanitarian and other purposes.

The bill establishes that this electronic visa will be on a par with the diplomatic, service, ordinary and transit visa and is an independent category.

The period for which it will be valid will be 60 days, and it will be possible to enter Russia once and stay in Russia for 16 days.

It is important to note that this visa will be issued to citizens of only those foreign countries, the list of which will be established by the Government of the Russian Federation.

Electronic visa will be issued as a single-entry visa and will be valid for up to 60 calendar days with an allowed period of 16 days of stay in Russia for citizens of foreign countries, the list of which will be established by the Government of the Russian Federation.
