Regarding the transition to electronic employment books
On January 1, 2020, two federal laws came into force, which established the possibility of keeping a work record book in electronic format, as well as the obligation of the employer to submit this information to the Russian Pension Fund (RPF) of the Russian Federation.
By June 30, 2020, employers must inform each employee in writing of their choice to switch to the electronic format of their work record book, or to keep it both in paper and electronic form.
In turn, employees must decide their choice by December 31, 2020.
It should also be noted that, at a meeting of Rostrud with the regional executive authorities, it was established that Rostrud, together with the regional authorities, will monitor the implementation of this project for the transition to electronic work record books in the regions
