The plan to increase labor mobility of Russians

The Russian government has published an action plan to improve the mobility of citizens of the Russian Federation for 2014-2018.
The plan includes improving the legal regulations for employment outside places of permanent residence. Thus, it is intended to offer Russian citizens work and relocation to priority regions implementing major investment projects, as well as low-cost apartment rentals and land for construction of domestic buildings.

The plan is aimed to reduce the number of foreign workers and to reduce the territorial imbalance in the development of transport infrastructure.

Moreover, the internet also will be used in improving the labor mobility of Russian citizens. In particular, it is planned to improve an information portal “Work in Russia” that will inform Russian citizens about vacancies throughout the country and to hold on-line interviews with employers.
